order of a Hlgh Court Judgement. These loans
are Interest free and no repayment dale ha8

Sangal loan repayments tolalled £87.500
during the year and the oulst8nding Loans have
been reduced from £99,200 to £11.700.

by the Leeds High Court in favour of the GNST

addition. Surjit Singh wa$.ordered lo repay the £36,611 paid by the GNST lo the LPA acting for the
Lancashire Mortgage Corporation lo redeern the fraudulent mortgage taken out by him secured against
209 Frodlngham Road and property rent collected by him.
Surllt Slngh. who 8adly has pa85ed away, was declared b8nkrupt and the lal88t 8talement of affair8
received from hls Trustee in 8ankruptcy l TIB") shows there may be in8ufficianl fund8 to pay anything
towards the costs awarde(l and owed lo the GNST. The bankruptcy proce89 18 ongoing and the TIB
¢ontlnue$ with hls enquiries and GNST continue lo I￿18e with TIB.

The Management Commlttee and Trustees developed and approved a referer￿ document outllning the
Strategic Goa18 and Oblectlves for the GNST.
In January 2025, the GNST was approached by the Trustees and Management Committee of the Singh
Sabha Gurdwara I'SSG.). Charity number 1185927 on 39pJ41 Normanby Road, Scunlhorpe, DN15 7AS,
to discuss the dosure of the SSG and transfer of ils a55els, the main asset being the property, to GNST.
Following detailed discussions b&tween the Trustees and Management Committees of both Charities, il
was agreed and approved that a single Sikh Gur(1wara￿ernple was the t¢sl long term option for the local
Sangal and Sikh Communlty. An Integrallon subcommittee was formed lo deal with the merger and
integrats'on issues. The process is expecleé lo be conduded during 2025 including th8 removal of the SSG
Charity from the Charity's Commlsslon register and transfer of the title of property to the GNST Trustee5.
