DARK VEIL

Overview:

• Venue: No20 Arts, London, and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Berlin

Introduction:

• In 2022, INTRASONUS UK hosted a series of workshops, podcasts and creative activities in preparation for the Holocaust Memorial Concerts.

Holocaust Memorial Concerts:

• The concerts, held on 22 and 23 January 2023 in London and Berlin, paid tribute to the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust.

• These events aimed to commemorate victims, honour survivors, and raise awareness about the Holocaust through music.

Event Highlights:

1. Musical Performances: The concerts featured classical pieces, Jewish folk songs, and an original composition inspired by Holocaust experiences, performed by the Minguet Quartet and local talents.

2. Survivor Testimonials: Holocaust survivors shared their personal stories, highlighting their resilience and strength.

3. Educational Exhibits: Preceding the concerts, educational workshops and podcasts provided historical context and deeper understanding of the Holocaust.

Impact:

• Participants and beneficiaries expressed a mix of emotions, from sadness to hope, and felt grateful for the opportunity to remember and learn about the Holocaust.

• The events successfully raised awareness and fostered a sense of responsibility to prevent future atrocities.

Dark Veil Project:

• A powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, education, and unity in the face of history's darkest moments.

• Combined music, survivor testimonials, and educational exhibits to convey the gravity of the Holocaust.

Conclusion:

• Emphasized the importance of promoting tolerance, inclusivity, and human dignity to ensure "never again" becomes a reality.
