## ANNUAL REPORT APRIL 2023 – MARCH 2024 

Ther Registered Office of Wheatley House Moving Forward is situated at 20 Aged Miners’ Homes, Wheatley Hill, Durham, DH6 3JX and the local authority is Durham County Council

*Mrs. M. Raine was elected to serve on the Committee at a special meeting held on12th April 2024 

## Structure, Governance and Management 

The method of appointing members to serve as Trustees on the Management Committee is set out in the constitution of Wheatle House Moving Forward.  Any resident of Wheatley Hill is legible to stand for election 

## Aims and Objectives 

The Management Committee promotes the aims and objectives which are included in the constitution – to welcome everyone irrespective of age, race. Creed, religion or sexuality and run the organisation withing the boundary of Wheatle Hill 

The Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the building, fixtures and fittings, decoration and repairs and source local tradesmen to keep the cost to a minimum and to help the economy of the village 

## Review of the Year

Following the restrictions imposed during the pandemic the regular patrons of the building have returned and the local Cancer Care Group has secured the funding to hire the building on a permanent basis.  Groups from outside of the village are using the building because they have access to a overhead projector and have commented on how nice the building is and the warm welcome they have received 

## Financial Review 

There is a balance of £19,562.97p including £5,679.45p Restricted Funding in the Building Fund.  The Hon. Treasurer issues each Committee Member a hard copy of the Financial Reports and the accounts books are taken to every meeting for the Trustees to examine
