Additional Disclosures
The followlng are slgnificant matters whlch are not covered In other notes and need to be Included to
provide a proper understandlng of the accounts. If there Is Insufflclent room here, please add a
separate shèèt.
Re note 17: Fixed Ass81 Investments.. In 2021-22 65Yo of the ordlnary share capllal of Oakdale Vel Centre
Ltd was inherited from the main benefaGtor, Miss Nlcholas. The Charities SORP stales that investment
interests exceedlng 200/tr of the voting power should be recognlsed as an associate unl8SS th8 ¢harily can
demonstrate that slgnificanl influence do8s not 8XlSt.
The trustees confirm that they have no power lo govern the company and no ¢ontrol over the ablllly to benefit
from the company. Any benefit received is wholly al the discretion of the directors.
As such, Ihe investments are shown on Ihe accounts at Ihe value gifted In Miss Nicholas, will - accepled as
the Cost lèss Impairment method.
8Yo of the trust's incomlng resources in the year were attrlbulable to donations received from Oakdale Vet
Centre Ltd. but these donations were at the lolal discretion of the directors, who are not related to the trust. In
addition, the directors voted a dividend on the accounts which had never Pféviously bpen considered. This
amounted to 2 % of the incoming resources.
Re note 3.. Income from legacles: Thls Is 73.25 acres of farmland received on grant of probate from the main
benefactor. Miss Nicholas. This has obviously improved the financial position of the trust from a balance
sh88t perspective, but the trustees are aware that the trust still survives on vital regular donations and
fundraising to provide cashflow lo feed the animals and keep them healthy.
