FOR ENGLAND AND WALES
Trustees, Annual Report for the period
From 11812023
To 311712024
Charity name: Liverpool College PTA (with Godwyn House)
Charity registration number: 1155402
Objectives and Activities
The objects of the charity are to:
1. Develop effective relationships between the staff, parents/carers and others
associated with the school;
2. Engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and
advan￿ the education of the pupils;
3. Ensure the children who participate have fvn
There are a wide range of fund-raising activities organised by the PTA and supported by
volunteers. Income is raised from event ticket sales; income from stalls and raffles. selling
pre-loved unifomis; selling class tea towels; ASDA funding; Easy Fundraising, and Charity
Commission matched funding.
Events and Activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects
The PTA works with the school, pupils, their families, and the local community to PLrt on a
range of events and activities. This year a considerable amount of effort has been put into
holding events such as a fireworks display, Christmas fair, food and drink festival, Share
Ramadan, Liverpool College's Got Talent, Wine & Wisdom evening, Bowling, bar at the
estates leaving do, High School Musical, Halloween discos; Spring Soiree and Christingle,
plus others. These help to build the school community, break down barriers and help
fundraise.
Funds are primarily used as grants to Liverpool College Independent Trust to purchase
items for the school to advance the education of the pupils. This yearfs grants have induded:
34 laptops
Projector Installation for Chapel
14 iPads & charging trolly
TV Screens
Mirrors for Drama Dept
£11.5k
£7.2k
£5.5k
£5.3k
£1.6k
In addition, we have provided grants for rugby tops, pantomime costumes and sponsored
sixth fonners to take part in University Challenge.
A great contribution is made by volunteers who give up their time to help arrange and run the
various events throughout the year. Wrthout them it would be impossible to raise enough
money to support these grants.
It is the PTA Policy for the school to seek fvlly costed grant nominations from Liverpool
College, which are checked by SLT before being presented for consultation by the PTA
Trustees. These costs should typically include 3 competitive quotes, unless circumstances
do not allow. All 3 TrUSt￿S then vote on the merits of the grant requesL

Achievements and Performance
Income was higher than in previous years for a number of reasons" because we held more
events and sold more tickets than in previous years; ticket pricing was higher; we had a mix
of PTA run stalls at events together with 3 party stalls paying a commission. we built on the
success of selling tea towels in previous years,; with rising inflation we had a particular focus
on cost control which helped supress costs and increase surplus (one such example was to
switch provider for event tickets which saved money).
Otherwise, we were able to run successful events to achieve our objectives of bringing the
school community together and raising money for charity.
