The directors present their report and unaudited accounts of the charitable company for the year ended
31 August 2025.
Princlpal Activlty
The principal activity of the charitable company for the period under review was to offer a high-quality
early education and childcare service.

The trustees, who are also directors for the purpose of company law. are responsible for preparing the
annual report and accounts in accordance with applicable laws and United Kingdom Accountlng
Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Company law requires the Trustees to prepare accounls for each financial year which give a true and fair
view of the state of affairs of the charitable company as at the balance sheet date and of its income and
expenditure for the period. In preparing those accounts, the trustees are required to:
select suilable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.,
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent-
state whether applicable UK accounting standards have been followed. subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the accounts.,
prepare the accounts on the going concem basi5 unless it Is inappropriate to presume that the
company will continue in business.

The Trustees are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose wilh reasonable
accuracy at any limo the financial position of the charilable company and to enable them to ensure that
the accounts comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets
of the charilable company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection offraud
and other irregularilies.

This report is prepared for Ihe trustees of Crick Pre-school. a charitable company. registered company
number 8825760 and registered charity number 1155397.
I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2025. as set out on pages 4 to 11.
Responsibilities and basis of report
The charity's trustees {who a￿ also ihe directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are
responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies
Act 2006 {-the 2006 Act").
Having satisfied myself thal the accounts of the company are not required lo be audited for this period
under Part 16 of the 2006 Act. and are er￿ible for independent examination, I report in respect of my
examination of the charity's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 (-the
2011 Act">. In Carrying out my examination. I have followed the Directions given by the Charity
Cornmission (under section 145(5){b)) of the 2011 Act.

Accounting policies
1.1 Basls of accountlng
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at
cosl or transaction value unless othe￿iSe slated in Ihe relevant nole(s) lo the accounts.
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice..
Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing theiraccounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102) issued on 16 July
2014. and with the Charities Act 2011.
The chariiy constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS102.
1.2 Incomlng Resources
All incoming resources are included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is
legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified wilh reasonable accuracy.
1.3 Turnover
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees
in furtherance of th8 general objectives of the charity and whith have not been designated for
other purposes.
1.4 Grants and Donatlons
Grants and donations are only included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the
general income reco9nition criteria are met.
1.5 Government Grants
The charity has received govemment grants during the year.
1.6 Resources expended
All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings
that aggregate all costs related to that category.
