Providing Martial Arts Class Throughout the year the Charity has successfully held on average 2-3 classes per week for young children and adults who are keen to participate in healthy recreation.

A number of interclub tournaments have been carried out to encourage children to participate in events that are design to keep their minds forced and achieving goals as well as a healthy life style.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

A number of drug and alcohol awareness camps were held in Punjab, India to prevent the use of substance misuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Martial Arts classes continued to run free of charge for children in Punjab with the aim to prevent the use of substance misuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Equipment for the gym was purchased to enhance the continuous progress of the students.

The Charity has based its ethics and principles on Sikhi, which has helped encourage youth to stay away from alcohol, drugs and crime. This has benefited the local community as it has help keep the youths ‘off the street’.

The trustees have read through the guidance on public benefit from the charity commission website and will continue to do so in the future to ensure the charity continue to work within the public benefit guidance.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Over the last year the charity has seen a steady number of students attending the classes. In addition to the regular classes, a residential martial arts camp was held in August 2020.

A number of drug and alcohol awareness camps were held in Punjab, India to prevent the use of substance misuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Martial Arts classes continued to run free of charge for children in Punjab with the aim to prevent the use of substance misuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Equipment for the gym was purchased to enhance the continuous progress of the students.

The Charity successfully hosted a MMA event in the West Midlands, which was attended by a number of other similar charities. Exceptional students were presented with recognition awards to reflect their contribution.
