**Activities:** An Almshouse Charity, founded in 1529 for the relief of poverty, became a CIO April 2014. Area of operation is limited to Derby. Focus is assisting older people primarily through direct provision of housing. Small grants to relieve need are also available to a broader age range. We manage four almshouse estates for people aged 60 or over, and run a 40-bed Residential Home for frail older people.
