TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF THANINGTON AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD (HEREINAFTER CALLED 'THE AREA OF BENEFIT') WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS;2. **Activities:** The Resource Centre is a resident-led self-supporting community charity in Thanington, an acknowledged area of poverty & disadvantage on the outskirts of Canterbury. As a focal point for the community it caters mainly for families, children and young people, with well recognised successful crime reduction, significantly reduced anti-social behaviour, food banks, hot meals and community engagement.
