SEATON COMMUNITY CENTRE 2021 2022 The Community Centre was re- opened on 17th May 2021 after the Covid 19 restrictions were lifted. The committee decided to have the stage removed, creating more floor space and all the necessary remedial work was carried out e.g. floor covering and decoration. New chair, tables and a refrigerator were purchased. Repair to a small window was necessary, and storm damage to the roof was speedily repaired. There was also a repair needed to the central heating system which was rectified satisfactorily. New bowls were ordered but there was a delay due to an availability shortage. A compliance report was carried out by Durham County Council and everything was found in order. The hall was decorated for the celebration of the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
The Community Centre continues to thrive. Groups....Card and Craft [new ] Yoga [new ] U3a Meetings Sewing group Line Dance Bowls Bonsai Play group [re-started] Partish Council Meetings Plus occasional one off bookings.
