Brian has two children a8￿ 8 ood 9. The family retumcd to the UK in 2020 aTrJ some of the abuse dtr*ted at
the children. As a result, the couple separaioj in 2022. For the last year he ha8 bad sole cu#ody of the children. He
reported that at first tle was finding this w ov¢twh¢]nwg and EEceiving w from the Intr¥L8ive Family Support
Team.
During the fi￿t weeks of the course. the ￿ leth 8tA)Ut the typu of dorne5tic abuse and shtred their ov
expuiencu. This helped validatc BriarA's decisi¢)D to eThJ the re]atiorthip for the safety of his cbild]￿. He a]so
commented how h¢ had never anotlw before wbo expaiaKd abusc and he thought hc may ￿ the only
one.
