|||food, farming<br>and environmental<br>sector.|
|Seeding Reparations||Building<br>a framework<br>for structural<br>change<br>in the Food System. Food|
|||production,<br>which accounts for at least 10%of the global economy,<br>is|
|||the single most harmful<br>activity<br>that humans<br>have on the planet.<br>The|
|||British Empire's<br>corporations<br>created this exploitative<br>food system on a|
|||bedrock of structural<br>racism<br>and environmental<br>destruction.<br>From the|
|||enslavement<br>of Black Africans,<br>and the indenture<br>of East and South-|
|||East Asian<br>workers<br>to labour<br>on plantations<br>in the new<br>world,<br>the|
|||relentless<br>drive for profit led to deforestation<br>to enable the cultivation of|
|||monocultures<br>and the introduction<br>of invasive<br>species, altering<br>native|
|||environments.<br>Then and now, the industrial<br>food system<br>continues<br>to|
|||devastate<br>nature,<br>and produce<br>structurally<br>unequal<br>outcomes.<br>This is a|
|||joint project with ETC Group and Tipping<br>Point UK.|
|Meat Organising||We<br>undertake<br>primary<br>and<br>secondary<br>research<br>and<br>engage<br>with|
|||grassroots<br>communities,<br>campaigning<br>organisations<br>and experts<br>in the|
|||UK, Europe,<br>North<br>America<br>and Global<br>South to deliver a learning|
|||project<br>providing<br>a strong<br>understanding<br>of historical<br>and<br>current|
|||grassroots<br>campaigns<br>against<br>Big Meat, of the<br>success<br>factors of|
|||climate grassroots<br>campaigns,<br>and ofthe scope for replicability<br>against|
|||Big Meat targets<br>and a strategy<br>for grassroots<br>mobilization<br>against Big|
|||Meat.<br>This<br>is a joint<br>project<br>with<br>Feedback<br>EU, Brighter<br>Green,|
|||Seeding Sovereignty<br>and GreenFaith.|
|Livestock Greenwash||Big meat<br>and<br>dairy<br>companies<br>('Big Livestock')<br>in<br>the<br>EU<br>are|
|||increasingly<br>pointing<br>to their<br>growing<br>range of commitments,<br>often|
|||framed around<br>'net zero'. We work together to empower<br>climate, media|
|||and farming<br>audiences<br>with<br>visual,<br>easy-to-understand<br>information<br>on|
|||the<br>hogow<br>climate<br>promises<br>of Big Livestock<br>companies,<br>enabling|
|||them to clearly and etfectively<br>call out greenwash.|
