The principal activity is The Meeting Point, community hub run in Backwell, where people can meet to socialise. access a range of services and support and where small groups can gather. A range of infomiatlon and service contacts Is available. There is also Intemet access and SUPPOrt for computer users. Vouchers are available for Clevedon Foodbank. The charity hosts groups for example chalr yoga. Mother and toddler / primary aged child activities are provided during school holidays. The charity also publicises social activitles within the community. Hospltality Is a key feature of The Meeting Point as a weekly drop-ln café. However, the wlnter welcome schemes attrncted no new vlsitors. Summary of the main achievements of the chality. Identifying the differen(x the charity'8 work has made to Ihe circumstances of its beneficiarie8 and any wider beneffts to society as a whole. 120 The usual programme of chlldren's a¢tivlties was run in the school Summer holidays (parents or carers in attendance), which we know is highly valued. Additional chlldren's artivitles are provlded in the other holidays. The twice-monthly lunch-club malntslns a loyal and regular attendance. Support with transport for elderty guests is much appreciated. We receive referrals by local Social Prescribers. Chair yoga sessions are provided bya qualified teacher for those with limited mobility. These have become real social events as well and regular attendance is close to the maximum. Although the EUSS support scheme has come to an end, there continue to be very occasional support requirements. An extension to assisted Digiial Support is under review.

The charity aims to provide economical lunches and has been able to manage with low donation levels despite cost pressur. A new 2-day holiday event for older resldents was held in July 2024. It has a150 5UPPOrted the growth of the Chalr voga sessions with numbers now up to around 20 per week. This is clearly walued as a soclal activity as well as good exercise for those with limited mobility. School summer holiday activlties for primary aged children were again very successful and wlll contlnue. As far as posslble, shorter school holldatrs wlll also Include a chlldren's actlvlty.
