This phase focus5•d on captunng conternporary voKes of people wtho tur￿n11Y live an(1 work in the area,
reflecting on their ¢yrrent experiences and h¢)w the area has Changod in recenl years 8nd during the HA2
project. Following the completion of Ihe inlervN8ws, 8n •xhI￿On e¥¢erpl$ from the stories,
photographs and some of the research was displayed lor Ihree w8ek5 ￿ North Shièkls library and
talks werè given. Throughout the project volunteer5 undtrrtook post-production work on the inttrview
$oun¢J files to create full Iranscnptions and excerpls for the website. Wè exceeded our tsr98ts for $lones
eollecled. partklpanls and audience engagernent.

industry, the North Shields Fishermen's Herilage Prosecl INSFHPI tommissioned a lrfe-sfL8 Sculpture of a
Hetring-GiH to be located wilhin Ihe regeneralion area of the Fish Quay. The scuIplu￿ wa$ ma¢Je by local
artist and Steel labricalor., Ray Lonsdale and complements Ray's sculpturg'The Fisherrnan, which is

The final stage of this h¥0-￿ar project was to work alongsxye the slaff ai Pearey House to produce a
commemoration book lor the organisalion's 150 anniversary. 188turing trans¢ripts of the Interviews wg
collected in 2022. Tht5 inclu$K)n of the yo￿e5 of service users with their lived exp8ri8nc8 was Cri￿81 lo
how the organisalion wanted lo corn￿￿￿orate theK history. The bcdK was ￿￿nChed al Pearey House's
annual summtrr gard8n party and distributed to all proiecl parbupants.
