UK and Republic of Irèland (FRS 1021 (effective 1 January 2019).
As Chaiman of TNA UK, il is my privilege to present this yeaffs report. Despite the challeng88 posed by th&
cosl-of-living crlsis and increased demand for our services. TNA UK has continued lo make a méaningful difference in
the lives of those many individuals affected by Irigeminal neuralgia (TN} and chronic fa¢i81 pain.
The Trustèes are r8sponsible for &nsuring that TNA UK operates in compliance wnh ils charitable oblecllves and ils
legal obligations.
Throughout th8 year, we have cornducled regular Board meetings lo review perfom)anc&, manag8 risks, and sel
strategic priorities. We have also reviewed and approved updated poliaes, which were developed by the CEO lo rellect
bast practice and èvolving member needs.
The Trustees have overs8en the Charily's financlal management, ensuring that resources are used efficlenlly and
suslalnably lo maximlse Impact and lo avold risk by maintaining a healihy reserve. The Charity has been abl& lo
lespond effectively lo extemal challenges while mainlainlng lianspaien¢y and accountability.
Thls year. TNA UK has made significant progress under the slralegic dSfe¢tion of the Board. Membèrship has grown,
thanks lo inilialives such as the Donate a Membètship" s¢heme, whl¢h ensures inclusivrly for those in financial
hardship. Critical services such as the FrlendshSp L5ne, n81ion81 w6blnars, and the e.helpline have eonlinued to provide
valuable support to Isoialèd members.
Our Charitls advocacy efforts have been strengthèned through the CEO'8 appointment as a Trustee of The
Neurological Alliance, enhancing TNA UK'S nallon81 influencè. We have conllnued lo champlon greater recognilion of
TN within heallhcare policies and our demand for improvements In Petsonal Independencè Paymenls (PIP) for Ihose
Ilvlng with TN.
In difficult times TNA has mainlalngd financlal siabllity, sustained by members, conldbullons, donallons and Innovative
fundraising inillallves, inclu¢Ying 'Yea for TNA" Legacy-giving campaigns will hopéfully bolster the Charity's future
financial resiliencè. The Tru51ees have fully supported the launch of a free wlll-wrillng seNce, empthvering members
lo leav8 a lasting Impact on the Charills work.

Financlal Review
The results for the year are set out in the attached accounts. r￿al unrestricted funds a131 March 2024 were £224 326
compared with £216,772 al 31 March 2023. Total income during the year was £189.1CI8 12023.. £127.174) and total
expenditure during the year was £148,749 {2023'. £163,745).
