Responsibilities of trustees
As explained more fully in the trustees, re5pJn5itMlitie5 Statement. the Trustees Iwho are also the directors of the
charitable company for the purposes of company lawl are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and
for being satisfied that they give a true and fair view, and for such internal control as the Trustees determine is necessary
to enable the preparation of financial statements thai are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or
error.
In preparing the finantial st*ements. the Trustees are responsibfe for assessine the charitable compèny's ability to

Audltors, responsibilitie5 lor the autht of the financial statements
Our objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about wherher the financial statemenis as a whole are free from
material misstatemeni. whether due to fraud or error. and to issue an audirors, report that includes our opinion.
Reasonable assurance is a high I￿e1 of assurance. blrt is nor a guarantee that an audit conducted in accordance with ISAS
IUKI will always detect a material mi55tatEment when tt exists. Mi55tatement5 can arise from fraud or error and are
considered rnaterial if. indiyiduèlly or in the agzregate. they tould reasonably be expected to inflvence the econDrnic
decisions of user5 token on the basis of these financial stitemenls.
Irregularities. including fraud. ore instance5 of non<ornpliance with law5 and regulation5. We ée5i8n procedures in line
with our responsibilities, outlined above. lo detect material misstate￿nts in resk*rt ol irregularities, including fraud. The
extent tD whith our procedures are capable of deiettin8 irregularities. including fraud is detailed bek)w.'
We gained an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the charitable company and the settor
in which it operates and considered the risk of acts by ihe charTiable company that were contrary to applicable laws and
regulations. including fravd. We designed audit procedures to resp)nd to the risk. recognising that the risk of not
detecting a material misstaiernent due io fraud is hi8her ihan the risk of noi detecting one resulting from error. as fraud
may involve deliberate concealment by. for example. forgery or intentional misrepresentations, or through collusion.
We focussed on laws and regulations. rdevant to the chartiable company, which could give rise to a material
misstatement in the financial Statements. Our tests included agreeing the financial statement disclosure5 to underlying
supporting documentation, enquiries of rnanagernent. review of board rninutes and legal expenses. There are inherent
limitations in the audit procedure5 described and. the further removed nonrfompliance with laws and regulations is from
Ihe events and iransaryions reflecied in ihe finarKial statements. the less likely we would become aware of it.
Because of the inhereni limr(ations of an audit. there 15 3 risk that we will not detert all irregularities. including those
leading to a rnaterial misstatement in the financial statements or norn-compliance with regulation. This risk increases the
more that compliance with a law or regulation is removed Ir&m the events and transactions reflerted in the financial

irregularities occurTing due EO fraud rather than error. as fraud intentional concealmenr. forgery, collusion.
