Our counselling provision aims to
strengthen our client's skills, resources,
and resilience to life events. However,
no financial investrnents are made to
any third-party organisation.

The counselllng service would not be
possible without the time, dedication,
and commitsnent of its counsellors who
volunteer their services at a lower
sessional rate in relation to typical
private fees. In addition, we offer
placements to counsellors nearing the
end of their fonnal training, which
supports our aims of offering affordable
counselllng.

Our counsellors remain fundamental to
its success. The Trustees are hugely
grateful for the Counsellors, on*oing
support which enables the service to
meet its aims.
In addltlon, the Trustees are grateful to
the staff and volunteers at the locations
used. Particularly our principal location
Reigate Community Centre and
Methodist Church whose commitment
and warm welcome enables the seNice
to offer a range of times from
comfortable rooms including disabled
acces6.

approx. 60 client sessions weekly
including evenings. Where needed we
continue to offer on-line sessions
although the majority are now in
person.

At least 815 clients have been
supported since our establishmenL By
offering open ended sessions we can
provide the time for clients to develop
more effective coping strategies to
manage distressing events and improve
emotional resilience and their
relationships. The service has a
maximum time limit of 2 years unless
there are exceptional reasons for
continuing.
Occasionally we need to maintsin a
waiting list particularly for evening
appointments which are often in most
demand.
In addition, following receipt of a
generous donation, we have provlded
over 70 free tlme limlted Sessions to
Welcare service usars who often havo
complex emotional struggles. Our
s8rvice has provided short temi
emotional support to parents who
would not have the funds even for low-
cost counselling. Feedback from
Welcare and the parents has been
positive.
The service receives enquiries from
range of sources including its websits,
google search. In addition, it receives
referrals from GPS, local mental health
services and
rsonal recommendation.

financial position. The deficit includes
the expense of providing the free
sessions to Welcare clients and the
increase in the Counsellor session fee.
Having qualified counsellors is
important to meet the service needs and
their sessional rate is significantly lower
than a

The Servlce's fixed costs are minimal
and can be met from client contributions
Room hire is considered the main
financial risk. The Trustees have agreed
to hold a minimum 3-month expenses to
fund the service primarily if alternative
remises are needed.
