## **Over the last year**

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

As a thriving charity, with confidence we can state that we have been making a huge difference in the lives of the poor and needy in India (Gujarat) with the help and support that we get from our generous donors. We are constantly reviewing and visiting different villages so we can really grasp what the poor and needy need. You can see this by the on-going projects we have been working on. Day by day the charity is doing better and we feel that more people are approaching us for help and support. IWARF assists those who suffer from poverty, Illiteracy, diseases and lack of economical support. IWARF strives hard to aid the most vulnerable in society, namely the widows, young girls, orphans and the elderly. **Education**

IWARF believes that education is vital for every individual in their life. IWARF also believes that education is one of the paths to remove poverty and the road to a brighter future for the poor and needy. We help each individual with good quality education in English by helping them with their fees, uniform, books bags and essentials that they would need on a day to day basis. We want the children to aim high by ensuring they progress to higher education with our help and support. Last year we helped more than 25 individuals to get higher education which will help them in the future and we helped more than 60 children in secondary school by giving them uniform, books and fees. **Ramadan**

As Ramadan and Eid is a very special time for every Muslim, IWARF believes that every family should have the means to get through Ramadhan at ease. We provide Iftaar packages which includes basics such as, rice, flour, oil, lentils etc. In addition IWARF do not forget the poor families in the happy occasion of Eid. We help 250 families during Ramadan and 100 families during Eid.

May Allah reward all that have donated during the past year; we could not have accomplished this without your generous donations.

- **Report to the trustees/ members of[INTERNATIONAL WAQF AND RELEIF FOUNDATION ]**

- **On accounts for the year Charity no 1154905 ended[30 SEPTEMBER 2020 ]**

- **Set out on pages** 2 **Respective** The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts.

- **responsibilities of** The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year

- **trustees and examiner** under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:  examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act,  to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act, and

- **Basis of independent** My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given **examiner’s statement** by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

- **Independent** In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention.

- **examiner's statement** 1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements:  to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act; and
