FRIENDS OF CHESSWOOD ANNUAL REPORT 2022/23
Thank you to everyone who has been involved with the Friends of Chesswood School over the last year, for their help and support. There has been fantastic support from a small but dedicated team and without this Friends of Chesswood would not be as successful as it is. We are hoping to recruit more parents over the coming year to ensure Friends of Chesswood has continued success in the years to come.
Please see the attached statement of account for the year. We have raised a total of £13,530.09 during the year and have a healthy balance of £30,779.17 in the PTA bank account as at 31[st] August 2023
During the year the PTA supported Year 6 with donations towards their Leavers Hoodies and Leavers Party. The PTA also bought playground sports equipment for use at break and lunchtimes to help provide more structured play for pupils.
Over the past couple of years we have been fundraising towards developing our playgrounds and outdoor spaces with items such as climbing walls and other outdoor equipment. We are currently obtaining quotes for this work as well as considering the impact which the school merger will have on school needs and our outdoor space. We will keep you updated as to developments with this.
All of the above would not have been possible without the support and generosity of families and friends of Chesswood, for which we are most grateful.
