**Objects:** THE CHARITY'S OBJECT ("OBJECT") IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY RAISING LEVELS OF LITERACY AND PROMOTION OF READING FOR ENJOYMENT THROUGH: 1.CREATING AND FACILITATING CONDITIONS WHERE GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS IN A COMMUNITY CAN WORK TOGETHER, MAKING BEST USE OF RESOURCES TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT ENCOURAGES READING AND LITERACY 2.PROMOTING THE VALUE OF READING IN THE HOME AND ENCOURAGING AND SUPPORTING FAMILY MEMBERS AND CARERS TO READ WITH THEIR CHILDREN 3.PROVIDING INFORMATION AND TRAINING TO GIVE PEOPLE THE SKILLS, CONFIDENCE AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES OR OTHERS 4.DEVELOPING CAMPAIGNS AND/OR READING PROMOTIONS WHICH GENERATE POSITIVE MESSAGES ABOUT READING AND LITERACY AND RAISE ASPIRATIONS IN INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES. THE PROVISION OF SERVICES WILL BE FOR PEOPLE OF ANY AGE AND ANY BACKGROUND.

**Activities:** Got to Read offers one-to-one support to adults across Suffolk who for any reason have left formal education but do not yet have the skills that they would like with reading and writing.  It is particularly able to support those who do not have the skills or confidence to attend group literacy classes and who may want to start from the beginning with reading and writing.
