## **Financial Review**

|**Financial Review**|||
|---|---|---|
|Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|**We continue to be in a very strong**
**financial position. We have no need to**
**actively canvas for donations as**
**voluntary donations cover most of our**
**present activities. Any difference**
**between income and expenditure is fully**
**funded out of substantial reserves.**|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|**We do not actively seek financial**
**donations, only donations of food which**
**are enough to cover our clients’**
**immediate needs.**
**Voluntary Financial donations, that we**
**haven’t solicited, allow us to function as**
**a charity and allow us, when needed, to**
**purchase specific food stocks that are**
**running low, plus also to give surprise**
**Christmas food parcels, and presents,**
**to needy families in our area.**
**Due to the kindness of the people of**
**Monmouth, our donations, both**
**financial and of foodstuffs, have**
**continued over the last 12 months**
**however, like many other Food Banks,**
**the amount of food donated has**
**reduced considerably this year**
**compared to last. This has resulted in**
**the need for us to purchase additional**
**food supplies to ensure we have enough**
**stock to fulfil the needs of our clients on**
**a daily basis.**
**Due to our financial position, we have**
**been able to set up a “long-term notice**
**reserves savings account” which holds**
**enough capital to allow us to continue**
**offering our services at the present**
**demand level for at least two years,**
**even if the amount of food donated**
**drops even further than we are**
**experiencing at this present time.**|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|**An amount of £22772.76 is presently**
**held in our 95-day notice reserves**
**savings account, in addition to £8694.23**
**in our instant access savings account**|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22|**N/A**|
|Details of fund materially in
deficit|Para 1.24|**N/A**|
|Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
concern|Para 1.23|**N/A**|
