International Committee for Rehabilitation Aid to Afghanistan (ICRAA)

Annual Report 2024 – 2025

A Message from our Chairman

I am pleased to submit the International Committee for Rehabilitation Aid to Afghanistan (ICRAA)’s annual report for 2024-2025 to the Charity Commission on behalf of our trustees.

During this reporting period, our focus remained on our local community in Leeds, as limited donations meant we had to concentrate our efforts closer to home.

We were able to strengthen our partnership with the Neighbourly Foods team, as well as with other community organisations like the NCVO and the Refugee Council.

Thanks to a small grant from a local LIDL store, we were able to provide high-quality food to beneficiaries in Leeds leading up to the new year, along with gifts for many children during the holiday season.

In Afghanistan, our work continued on agricultural project, specifically the planting of fruit and forest trees. We also focused on environmental education, with a particular emphasis on heat stress, flooding, and strong winds. Our aim was to use reforestation to help protect farmers in rural areas.

Furthermore, our trustees remained committed to our mission, even with the decrease in donations caused by recent unforeseen changes, particularly those affecting overseas activities i.e., Afghanistan. We also made sure to stay in touch with our local partners regularly, including the Leeds Hub, the LTHT, and Doing Good Leeds, who are all dedicated to making Leeds a better place.

During this period, ICRAA spent a total of £1,210 on charitable activities.

This year, ICRAA charity demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of beneficiaries both in the UK and Afghanistan. We are proud of the progress made with limited funds in furthering our mission to support needy people.

Thank you,

Dr. Sanaulhaq Ahmadzai Chairman and Trustee ICRAA
