Inlernalional Commillee for Rehabililalion Aid lo Al'ghanisilan (ICRAA) Annual Re ort 2022 2023 Charity

A Message from our Chairman

During the 2022-2023 year, the International Committee for Rehabilitation Aid to Afghanistan (ICRAA) made continuous progress in assisting our needy beneficiaries both in the UK and Afghanistan. Here are the highlights of our achievements:

Local Efforts in the UK:

Food Distribution: We maintained our collaborative efforts with local food stores such as Sainsbury, Lidl, M&S, and Aldi. We distribute essential food items to those in need here in Leeds. Food donations from these stores were collected and promptly delivered to beneficiaries, ensuring timely support.

Partnership with NCVO: Our commitment to contributing to the charity sector continued as we remained an active member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Participation in sectoral meetings facilitated knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Contributions: The support received from a refugee organisation allowed us to play a role in aiding refugee resettlement efforts in the UK. We are deeply appreciative of this partnership.

Engagement with Charity Commission: Our dedication to safeguarding our beneficiaries and charitable activities led us to actively engage in Charity Commission meetings. These interactions helped mitigate risks and ensure the effectiveness of our activities.

Continue Progress in Afghanistan :

Nursery Project for Farmers: Our commitment to supporting sustainable communities and livelihoods in Afghanistan remained steadfast. We continued to provide assistance to farmers through a nursery project which included fruit and forest trees distribution, seed plantation, and engaging the local community members such as village elders and farmers. This initiative aids in the development of sustainable agricultural practices and contributes to the well-being of local farmers and overall benefit to the local communities. During this period the ICRAA spent £3,500 on its charitable activities.

Throughout this year, ICRAA charity demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of beneficiaries, both in the UK and Afghanistan. We are proud of the progress made and remain dedicated to furthering our mission to support needy people.

Dr. Sanaulhaq Ahmadzai Chairman and Trustee, ICRAA
