SORP reference
The Charity has raised money for the school
through various activities
during the year including the Ball in the Hall,
Christmas Fair, a school
qUl4 a barn dance and the Summer Paty in the
Playground as well as
smaller events such as cake sales and ad hoc
social evenings.
Proceeds from raffles and silent auctions during
these events were as a
result of kind donations from local businesses with
whom relationships
have been fornied and as such the school has
become an important part
of the local eA)mmunity.
As well as organising these events the sponsorship
deal between the
school and local Estate agents continued which
enabled the school the
ability to purchase equipment for the new building
including the new
playground equipment.
Against these incomes the Friends have incurred
expenses also detailed
within the accounts for the provision of the
activities as well as ongoing
payments for membership of the PTA-UK and
licenses. Purchased &
donated assets will be used for the purposes of the
future running of the
Charity.
As well as cash assets currently held by the friends
for future purchases
on behalf of the school and its pupils monies have
been spent by the
friends on school equipment for the benefit of the
pupils and their
education.

Respectlve The charivs trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
responsiblllties of accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('Ihe Acr).
trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year
under section 144 of the Act and that an independent examination is
needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
to follow the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
(under section 145(5)(b) of the Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given
examlner's statement by the Charity Commission. An examination indudes a review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the
trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true
and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the
statement below.
Independent In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my
examinerfs statement attention (other than that disclosed below.) which gives me cause to believe
that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Charities Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a
proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Mrs Letch introduced herself and gave her thanks to FOTH for all their hard work and thanks to
parents for supporting the events that FOTH run.
The school works closely with the PTA and presents an annual shopping list for items which make a
difference to the children's learning. This wish list changes as priorities change.
FOTH funding is for resources for the children.
FOTH is not only about funding it is about bringing the community together, and having a nice time.

Questions
What was fundraising like Pre-covid compared to post-covid?
Before covid there were some major fundraisers like the cycle ride. A fundraising cycle ride is being
planned for this year. The Ball in the Hall is a very successful event, and people were glad to come out
again and party.
The parent community evolves each year and covid had an effect on that parent/school community
experience. We need to make people feel engaged, and get everyone onboard. We would like
everyone to share their event experiences with other parents and encourage them to engage.
LAS/?N

Are FOTH funds able to cover some of the costs that normally are covered by government.
Mrs Letch explained that sometimes there are things that the government does not fund THS i.e. roof
leaks but the school still have had to commit funds for this. This year will have to fund the windows.
DFE school funding cost of fuel, had to buy into a procurement project, and now prlces have
dropped but we are tied in.
