IN PLANNING OUR ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR WE KEPT IN MIND THE CHARITY COMMISSION’S GUIDANCE ON PUBLIC BENEFIT AT OUR TRUSTEE MEETINGS.

LBDR TAKE IN AND RE-HOME LARGE BREED DOGS. WE HAVE A STRICT NON DESTRUCT POLICY AND NEVER PUT A DOG TO SLEEP UNLESS ADVISED BY A VET. ALL DOGS ARE NEUTERED, VACCINATED & MICROCHIPPED BEFORE RE-HOMING. ALL POTENTIAL HOMES ARE VETTED, WE DO FOLLOW UP CHECKS ONCE THE DOG HAS GONE TO A HOME & GIVE LIFETIME BACK UP SHOULD THERE BE A PROBLEM. Summary of the main WE ATTENDED A NUMBER OF FETES IN THE YEAR WITH STALLS achievements of the charity FOR FUNDRAISING, AND HAD ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL during the year FUNDRAISING FUN-DAY IN SEPTEMBER 2024. WE HAVE VOLUNTEERS WHO KEEP OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATED, AND WE HAVE INCREASED WAYS TO DONATE (DIRECT DEBITS, CARD MACHINES ETC) WHICH HAS ALL HELPED IN OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS. WE ALSO HOLD REGULAR EVENTS IN A PETS AT HOME STORE TO RAISE FUNDS.

Section E Financial review WE HOLD CASH AT BANK AND PAYPAL OF £114.175, ALL OF WHICH IS UNRESTRICTED FUNDS. THESE FUNDS ARE HELD IN ORDER TO MEET URGENT EXPENDITURE ON VETERINARY TREATMENT FOR OUR DOGS. WE CURRENTLY HAVE HIGH RESERVES AS WE ARE EXPECTING TO MOVE PREMISES AND NEED TO COVER ADDITIONAL COSTS, WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PURCHASING OUR OWN SPACE. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 05 / 04 / 2025.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
