Cawood Community Centre Association Trustees’ Report. CC number 1154452.

The charity was set up to provide a new community centre for Cawood in North Yorkshire for the benefit of all in the village. The current village hall is an old building that is in need of refurbishment and is currently not fit for purpose. The four trustees and five other volunteers of the association have worked hard on the project.

The charity has remained inactive for the last two years owing to a number of outside factors. Owing to these the charity has been unable to proceed with its intentions to build a new community centre for the village. The owner of the current village hall, the Cawood Feoffees, are now planning to refurbish their property and provide a more pleasant venue for villagers to gather.

The CCCA now aims to support Cawood Feoffees in their plans and is joining discussions with them about the future of the refurbished venue in the village and lending its experience to the project.
