In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.

Providing advice and support to families who are connected with asd and those awaiting support is still our main focus, This benefits the public as we connect with people from across the country on a daily basis through our social networking platforms.

We have also provided funding to several educational institutions who have then used the funds to purchase educational equipment which in turn benefits the public.

We raise awareness of ASD daily which also educates the public on a daily basis by sharing news and stories across our social networking platforms, which currently reaches over 25,000 people.

## Future Plans

Following the withdrawal coronavirus guidance to allow people to gather in public spaces again, we were able to schedule in a charity mud run and fundraising charity ball in later on in 2022.

During 2022 we hope to continue to successfully grow Autism Aware UK as a national charity, and to continue raising autism awareness and funds through our events, to ensure that we can support as many funding requests as possible sent to us from schools / groups and organisations that support people with ASD.

To achieve this, we aim to increase our advertising and marketing campaigns online across our social media platforms.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/03/2022** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”) .

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
