The Partnering Initiative drives effective cross-sectoral collaboration for a sustainable future through: professional development; building organisations that are 'fit for partnering'; supporting best practice in partnerships; building the infrastructure to systematically faciliate partnerships; and raise awareness of the role of partnerships in development.

Building Systemic, Institutional And Individual Capacity Across All Societal Sectors To Develop And Support Effective Partnershipsc. Directly And Indirectly Supporting The Development And Effective Delivery Of Cross-Sector Partnerships Globallyd. Promoting And Undertaking Study And Research In Cross-Sector Partnerships And Disseminating Useful Results Of Such Study To The Public At Largee. Supporting The Development Of An Enabling Architecture To Drive The Scaling Up Of The Use Of Cross-Sector Partnerships Globally2) To Advance The Education Of The Public In Subjects Relating To Cross-Sectoral Partnerships Globallynote: Sustainable Development Is Defined As "development, Which Meets The Needs Of The Present Without Compromising The Ability Of Future Generations To Meet Their Own Need".
