NORFOLKYOUTH PROJECTS
ANNUAL REPORT-2023
Unfortunately after covid we were lookingto undertake our final 2 Cultural youth
exchanges. On was funded to take place in St Peterburgwith the 2nd one to take place in
Norfolk. As you will understand we were having issues because both projects involved
Russia. This unfortunately could not happen because ofthe warwith Ukraine. We asked
our National Agency if we could change the venue from St Peterburg and fins another
country to host. Also replace Russia from the Norfolk Project with another organisation
from another country. The NationalAgencywant us to come up with paperwork signed
by our Russian partnerto saytheywill not take part in the programmes. Russia would
not do this as theywanted to take part. But it was impossible. So we had to return the
moneyto the National Agency
Norfolkyouth Project were also unable to plan and organise holiday programmes
funded bythe government. Unfortunately false claims from Norfolk County Council we
were unable to do this work. This was very disappointing as we had a group of up to 50
Young People looking to take part in this project.
So 2023 was a none event for Norfolk Youth Project after a very successful 20years of
fantastic work with over 3,000 young people
