OCD Action works for a society where OCD is better understood and diagnosed quickly, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information is readily available and where nobody feels ashamed to ask for help. We are here because OCD tears families apart and leaves people isolated and exhausted.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are The Advancement Of Health And Relief And Prevention Of Sickness And Suffering Among People Affected By Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) And Related Disorders In Particular But Not Exclusively By:(1) Providing Support And Information To People Affected By OCD And Related Disorders;(2) Advancing Education For The Public Benefit About OCD And Related Disorders And Advancing Education Among People Affected By OCD And Related Disorders, Including But Not Limited To Family Members, Carers, Teachers, Health Professionals And Social Workers, To Enable Them To Improve Their Understanding Of OCD And Related Disorders And Available Treatments;(3) Promoting And Improving Access To Appropriate And Effective Treatment For People Affected By OCD And Related Disorders; And(4) Promoting, Supporting And Raising Funds For Research Into OCD And Related Disorders, The Useful Results Of Which Will Be Disseminated For The Public Benefit.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
