1 ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The Jusoor UK Charitable Trust is a privale company limited by guaianlee incorporated in England
and Wales. company number 08574289 and Charity Commission number 1154168. The registered
addiess is Belmont House. Slalion Way. Crawley. Wesl Sussex. RH10 1JA.
1.1 ACCOUNTING CONVENTION
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the ch8r6ly's Memorandum & Art¢cles of
Association, the Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Slalement of
Recommended Practice applicable lo charitie5 prepaiing Iheii accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 {as amended
for accounting periods commencing from 1 January 20191. The charity is a Public Benefit Enlily as
defined by FRS 102.
The Charity has taken advantage of the provisions in Ihe SORP for charities applying FRS 102 not lo
prepare a Slalemenl of Cash Flows.
The accounts are prepared In sterling. which is the functional cuirency of Ihe charily.
The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 GOING CONCERN
Al the lime of approving the a¢counls, the Iruslees have reasonable expeclalion that the charity has
adequate resources lo continue in operational exlslence for the foreseeable future. Thus the Iruslees.
continue lo adopt the going concern basis of accounting In preparation of the accounts.
1.3 CHARITABLE FUNDS & FUND ACCOUNTING
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discrelion of the Iruslees in furtherance of their
charitable objectives unless the funds have been designated foi olher purposes.
Restricted funds are subject lo specific conditions by donors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and uses of the ieslricled funds are sel out In the notes to the accounts.
1.4 INCOMING RESOURCES
All incoming resources are included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally
enlilled lo the income, the amount can be quanlilied with reasonable accuracy and il is probable that
income will be received.
1.5 GRANTS PAYABLE
Grant8 payable are debited lo expenditure within the Statement of Financial Aclivilies in the period lo
which they relate.
Where a grant commitment is payable over a period of more than one year, a liability is recognised for
the full amount of the conslruclive obligation unless conditions are allached lo future payments such
that the Iruslees effectively relain the discretion lo avoid making such payments.

1.6 CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES
The eosl of charitable activities consists of grants made.
1.7 GOVERNANCE COSTS
Governance costs comprise all costs involving the public accountability of the charity and ils
compliance wilh regulation and good practice. These costs include costs related to slalulory audit
and legal fees together wilh other overhead and support costs.
1.8 CASH AND CASH EQUIVALENTS
Cash and cash equivalents include deposits held al call with banks.
1.9 FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS
The Charity has ele¢led to apply the provisions of Section 11 'B85ic Financial Inslrumenls" and
section 12"Olher FinancÉal Inslrumenls Issues" of FRS 102 to all of ils financial instruments.
Financial assets and liabilities are offset, with the nel amounts presented in the financial slalements,
when there is a legally enfo￿able right lo sel off the recognised amounts and there is an intention lo
sellle on a nel basis or lo realise the asset and sellle the liability simultaneously.
Baslc financlal assets
Basic financial assets. which includes debtors and cash and bank balances, are initially measure{1 at
transa¢lion price including transaction cosls and are subsequently carried al amortised cost using the
effective interest method unless the arrangement conslilules a financing Iransaclion, where the
transaction is measured al the present value ol the future re￿Ip(S discounted al a maTkel rate of
interest. Financial assets classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.
Impalrmont of flnanclal assots
Financial assets, other than Ih(Ise held al fair value Ihrou9h income and expenditure, a￿ assessed
for indicators of impairment al each reporting date. Financial assets are impaired where there is
objective evidence that. as a result one or more events that occurred after the initial recognition of the
financial asset, the eslimaled future cash flows have been affected.
If an asset is impaired, the impairment loss is the difference between the carrying amount and the
present value of the eslimaled cash flows discounted al the asset's original effective Inteiesl rate.
The impairment loss is recognised in nel incomellexpendilurel for the year.
If there is a deciease In the impairment loss arising from an evenl occurring after the impairment was
recognised, the impairment is reversed. The reversal is such that the current carrying amount does
not exceed what the Carrying amount would have been, ha($ the impairment previously been
re¢ognised. The impairment reversal is recognised in nel incomellexpendilure) for the year.

Basic financial liabililies, including trade and other payables, are initially recognised al transaction
price unless the arrangement conslilules a financing Iransaclion, where the debt instrument is
measured at the present value of the future receipts discounted al a market rale of interest. Debt
instruments are subsequently carried al amortised cost. using the effective interest rale method.
Trade payables are obligations to pay for goods oi services that have been acquired in the ordinary
course of operations from suppliers. Accounts payable are classed as current liabilities if payment Is
due within one year or less. 11 not, they ale presented as non-current liabilities. Trade payables are
recognised initially al transaction price and subsequently measured al amortised cost using the
effective interest method.

Financial liabilities are derecognised when the charity's contractual obligations expire or are
discharged or cancelled.
2. CRITICAL ACCOUNTING ESTIMATES AND JUDGEMENTS
In Ihe application of the charity's accounting policies, the Iruslees are required lo make judgements.
eslimales and assumptions about the carryino amount of assets and liabilities th818re not readily
apparent from other sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on historic21
experience and other factors that are considered lo be relevant. Actual results may differ from these
eslimales.
The eslimales and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Revisions lo
accounting eslimales are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision
aflecls only that period, or in the period of the revision allecls only that period. or in the period of the
revision and future periods where the fevision affecls both current and future periods.
