Church) who run Foodbank sesslon8 where vouchers be redeemed for three days. worth of food. We
continued wlth an emergency delivery service to ensure food provision for those who could not access
Foodbank sesslons, and the ongolng Fln8ndal IndusSon and Communlty Advlce Servlces whlch were run In
Partnership wilh Paasholme charity and Ciuzans Advlce York to support Foodbank dients. York Foodbank
continues to depend predomlnantly upon the work of a dedlcated team of approxlmately 150 volunte8r8
who glve thelr tlme lo h8lp local people In need.
The trustees conslder that they have complied with their duties to have due regard to the public benefit
guidance published by the Ch8rSty Comm18810n.

Across the '24-'25 financial year York Foodbank received and distributed 71,449kg of donated food with an
esllmated total value of £197.913 (based on a standard Trussell conversion value of £2.771kg). Almost all of
thls was distributed to local peoplé through the fulfilment of 3,495 vouchers representing 5,268 adults and
3,426 children (8,694 individual ￿8Y food packages in totsl), This represented a 81ight increase of 4.10/0 in
v<Juchers fulfilled in CA)mparison with financlal year '23-'24 and the highest number of vouchers fuffilled by
York Foodbank in a financial year.
York Foodbank conllnued to offer openings at Distribution Points hosted ty local churches covering
mondaY￿alurdaY across slx locations each on a differenl day of the week: Gateway Church in Acomb,
Vineyard Church in Fishergate. Living Word Church In Huntington, St Joseph's together with the Clifton

Parlsh churches in Clifton, York Communlty Church in Tang Hall. and Th8 Belfrey in the Cty Centre. York
Foodbank further continued to offer a Volunteer Collection ("Dellverf) option to those unable to acc8SS

Trussell's Financial Inclusion Grant provided fundlng for a thlrd year to contlnue contracted advice serrfices

providad by Citizens Advic8 Yorf(. Indudlng 8 hours of 8ppoSntment tim8 w8ok localed within 4
Foodbank Distributs'on Point locations. CAY reported that a further 267 people benefitted from
appointments, and thelr interventions achieved a further £130,387 'confirmed' and £195.365 'expected'
financial gains. CAY interventions ensured that £195,134 of debt was written off for Foodbank clients.
York Foodbank took trie dedsion to expand Iho g8neralbl dropin Communty Advlce S8Nice delivered by
Peasholme Charity from covering Just four sessions to all slx, including Saturday moming. Peasholme
Charity's annual report documented supporting 403 people and with 236 estimated to no longer require
foodbank support as a resull of thelr InteNentlons. The service Sdentlfied 29 client8 as havlng Oither secured
accommodation or having been prevented from becoming homeless. and also achleved 'confirm8d'
financial gains for Foodb8nk dients of £37.600, and '8xpected' financial g8ln8 amounting to £193,121.
Our Taste and See Gift Card 8cheme provlded for 7107 £6 Gift Cards which afforded dients the dignity of
purchasing £42,642 of food tlems of their cholce from participating local shops (all Coop slores), giving
them access to fresh and frozen food Items whlch the Foodbank cannot provlde dlrectly. SuTrtable controls In
place with the partlCiP8ting shops ensured thal the provision was strictly for food iiems only. York Foodbank
al80 contributed £17,880 to facilitste s8r¥lces provided by Christians Against Poverty, and operated a Grant
Fund Inidative which dlstributed £53,283 to Ioc81 charities and funded proleGts allgned wtth our charltable
aims to alleviate poverty, hardship and distress, develop long terni resilience against the need for
ernerg8ncy food and provide access to relovant advice and 8UPPOrt.

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responslble for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charitie5 Act 2011 {'the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of
the 2011 Act and in carrying Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions
given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5){b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my attention
in connection with the examination glvlng me cause to believe that in any material respect:
