September **2024** **TAR** 3 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** Our volunteers and the foundations that we have laid down in West Norwood have continued to help the community. We have also noticed the rise in members of the local community who are coming to the Islamic faith, from teenagers upwards. This has prompted us to start networking with them and providing extra services for their integration into the community. In this financial year we organised a number of activities for the local Muslim community: 1. In March 2024, we organised a Pre-Ramadan event for New Muslims of West Norwood and surrounding areas. 2. In June 2024 we began planning a 4-day Summer Activity Camp for Muslim youth from the ages of 12 – 17 in South Croydon, building upon the Day Camp we organised in the previous year. The camp was held in August 2024. As a result of planning this event we: - a). Trained and inducted 9 volunteers, including the processing of 9 Enhanced DBS Checks, which all came back with a Clear Result. - b). Established and strengthened relationships with external service providers, such as Frylands Wood Outdoor Centre, where we held our 4-day camp. - c). Established and strengthened relationship with Community organisations, like Norbury Muslim Centre, whose Imam was one of our religious instructors. - d). Developed systems and procedures for the running of a summer camp. - e). Gained valuable feedback from volunteers and attendees of our camps. 3. In September 2024 we organised a Post-Camp Meeting and Lunch for our volunteers, to provide feedback for the event and how we can improve on it for the following year. September **2024** **TAR** 4 **Section E Financial review** ~~ee~~ **Brief statement of the** **charity’s policy on reserves** All income that is generated by WNMCP is spent as and when it is needed. We may accrue reserves over a period of time, but this is not at an expense of withholding funds from our day-to-day activities. Our fundraising is for the general purposes of the Charity, unless stated otherwise. In the case of specific fundraising, we set aside these restricted funds and use them accordingly without haste.
