**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION IN THE LIFELONG LEARNING SECTOR IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.

**Activities:** NANAMIC CIO exists to represent the views of post-16 Mathematics education in the United Kingdom.  This is done by belonging to national mathematical bodies, where our voice can be heard, and by responding directly to government consultations.In addition the charity provides Continuous Professional Development events which are tailored to the requirements of individuals and organisations.
