TRUSTEES & CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
The Trustees would like to thank Committee Members, Team Managers and all volunteers for their dedication and hard work during the last season. Thanks also to Richard Peters for preparing the annual accounts. We are all volunteers who want the best for our members and their families.
Last year saw the 10th anniversary of the opening of Eagle Park on 26 April 2014 by Sir Trevor Brooking with over 2000 people attending the sea of green and white, the biggest day in our Club’s history so far. In 2002 the decision taken to look for our own land as £50,000 each season was being spent on hiring pitches across the Borough and beyond. We currently have 78 teams from under 7’s to under 18’s as well as a disability section of around 60 players from age 6 to 50 all undertaking good, healthy exercise and making friends to last a lifetime. Having already outgrown the 30 acres we currently have the Trustees have recently signed a new 25 year lease for an additional 20 acres adjoining our existing ground and are having discussions with the FA for funding for our ambitious plans for a 4G pitch and new clubhouse to improve and expand Eagle Park for generations to come.
