All th56 continues to be done by a hard-working arKI vigilant Churchw8rdens. the Fabrlc & Flnance Committee. and the Slanding Comrnttiee. together with rnany volunteers working on th8 bullding. We were able to welcome Stephen, the thenqwi Bishop of Beverley, on 11th Junè, to confirm 4 chlldren from the sctthl plus one teenager. who is rwi a regular m8mber of our Sernfjng Team. At lea51 one of children Is k88n to return in May. to support this year's Confimiation candidates.. nine children and one adult are set to be confimi8d on Sunday 19th May this year. the great feast of Pentery￿L We pray that tr￿t day wlll ba a great outpouring of the Holy Splrlt on ttKJs8 Ca￿lIdateS as well as on the parish as a whole. I vi51t them most Thursday evenings Iwhen I have to juggle my time a bit between them and RosaryNass]. l also found that Family Eucharists I held in th8 first months of my ministy here were not bringing thè familDés in. whews thè ones supported by the Scouts et¢ wére: I have therefcTr in(xeased ts number of oc(8sions when the Scouts Join us [with wesentation of sc￿￿cub9'l8eavers'NQUng Leaders, ftagsl on a Sunday moming at 10.30am, so as to hava such servics about 6 times a year. The f0rtn￿htty Eucharist at Collier'8 Court Care Home [fornierfy wa9¢￿ & Horse8] has been matched with a fortnightly one at Abbey Rose Court [fonnerly Lymewood] Care Horn8, where I was prevlously visitlng residents on a one-by4)ne Home Communion basis. This provides an increased opportunty for fellowship. corporate worship. and singing. The May 2023 meetlng was very well attended. 11 was annourKed at this meeting that the Chapter had requested we hold a prayerlstudy day at St James. focussiry on the Hèaling Ministy and the date was set for September 2023. A Laying on of Hands rota was issued following this meeting. Stops were taken to obtain a replacement statue of St Raphael. (on- going). A lighter banner v￿S sought aTrJ bough( inlended for use in the walking day. bLrt its quality was disappointing so was not used.
