ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Major acdvltlos and achlevements
Having taken over the operations of the Hub through tho ￿MMUnty asset transfer in November 2013 the year to 31
January 2024 was ar)other year of consofidation and develownent of the facilttbes.
Thè sports clubs are all vary different in their scale, ambib(fft and operation. wrforrning at different levels and different
stsges of their developrnent.
Boxing
Aston ABC has seen a massive increase in competitive member5 from 30 boxers to 50 1)oxers and been very acttve
participating in local. national and intemational competitions, overall Competing in 236 bouts. a huge increase in previous
year due to th8 increase in boxers and as impcthtty.
The annual dinner was 8 success allowing us to hdd 3 open shows arKi fijnding travd and accommodation to varfous
comp8titions.
The femal8 fiag squad held at Aston ABC continued to prc¥Jr8ss th8 development of female boxing. membors winning
various natlonal and intsmatlonal cornpetttlons and call ups to mwnbershlo of the GB Otymplc programme.
The dub celebr*ed a threethnation gold medallist- Neve Wright 54kg.'

activities. employment and training by Impromng their key life sknlls, through sport84hemed personal development
seNices.

sessions. mentoring and guidance.
Thé 2023124 season saw 9 ofthe urxler 17 sK)uth team elevats to th8 s8nM)r Secti(￿ and the ov8r 35s reathing a cup final.
CSFC bonded a relationship a faith-based dub vhK) incorporatsd the Continental Star brand. Aso, a network of 2
football teams has fom)ed, wlth Continental Star Gambia and Continental Star Nigeria FC having merged and charted a
global netsvorf( of addltlonal tsams.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Total income for the year was £60,529 (2023: £48,356) of which £37,872 was unrestricted (2023: £43.2611 and £22,657
was restricted (2023 £5.095).
Total funds Garried forward at the year end were £75.09) (2023: £7T.138) of *thich £35238 was unrestricl8d (2023
£54.983) and £39.8S2 were restricted (2023: £22.155).
Rlsk management
The trustees have identified certain risks to which the charfty TS exposed as part of their responsii)iliti8s as trustees
running the charity. The main risks klenl1fi￿ rdate to Health and Safety Issues. The trustees have a general Health and
Safety policy in placo which is str￿ty followed.
Going con¢om
After making appropriate enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expe¢lation that the charity has adequate resources
to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For thbs reason they w)linu6 to adopt th8 going con¢em
basis in preparing the finanaal ststsments.
Reserves pollcy
The trustees have reviewed the (*artils requirements f(Y reserves. This Is completed on an annual basks. The general
reseTh8s are required for working capital purposes. The general reseNes stood at £35.238 at 31 January 2024 (2023:
£54,983). The trustees believe that this is 8Lrfficaent to enable the charity to continue its activities. The trustees b8li8v8 that
thls lev81 of reserves wlll support any unforeseen reduction in the incxmie by the d)arity.
