Tlie Iruslees hold formal meetings four limes during the yaar and each ￿ceiVed written reports frcffl

ai;counlip were approved al the autumn rneeling, and a budget for the coming year agreed at the
si>ring nieeling. Formal community poli¢ie$ on our significant responsibilities are ieviewed on a

Tl)ere was also an informal 'away dal again with tfustees and community members in l-ebruary.
Governiinco
Tli& conimunity was without a Warden for a year from January 2024 to January 20?5. This highly
ui)usual and challenging bltuation was held and navlgaled by the remaining two mambers James
￿_￿marI and Mary Daw3s along with the Operations manager Jane Killy. Their extraordinary
commilnient lo Pilsdon over this lime enabled the community lo continue, albebt wlh a limited capacty
lo lakè on new guests.
Much liine was spent by th6 Tru$toe$ on recruilmenl of the new Warden and ensuring that all
slandaros weTe maintained during the period wilhoul a Warden. The review of Policies and
piocedures ￿ntinued during this perlod.
G?neral a¢tlvltlg$ and achlevements
Tlie co￿lMunity members continued to meet four times daily for prayer, lo support each other in their
si>irilual life and worship ai)d supporting the resident guesls, and lo share a common life. Hospitalty is
offered tts guests, includin£J longer term guests. respf(e visitors and wayfarers. We also enablè gue818
to set and aspire to goals according to their choice. The value of this way of life and these activities
are not very susceptlble to measurement. However..
i Ive ha¢1 11 guests stsying with us in the community ovgr the year, although numb8rs changed with 1
le3ving. At the end of the year we had 10 guests in total.
li We had 3 residontial volunteers dvring the year although we also had several voluntfiers stawng for
a few W￿kS across the year.
iii We have welcomed Wayfarers {single homeless men and wcmenl for 263 nlghts in total
iiii We huve a180 been IrL1Sted by the Courts to offer pl&es and have advocated for people on bail.
Vlle welcome homeless peopl8 in cold and hot weather who are referred to us by Dorsel Council.

Generally, we also have an excellent team of non-residential volunteers who assist with driving,
c(>oking and numwous pr3cli¢al tasks. We are most grateful for their support and the stability they
piovide lo Pilsdon through being ablo to sustain their commitment over longer periods of time.
Tlie Warden and Members are excepli¢naUy grateful and proud of th¢ re$¢dent Guests who have in
eir own un¢qu8 ways mude enomous contributions to the thriving of the community. Many of our
Guests have made their home here and are a vital and stabilising influence when Wardens and
Members arrive and18av8.
Wile also continue to be very grateful for assistance of fomer guests and others who come lo live in
the communlty for pèriodu lo cover ￿mmunty members are away on holiday, retreats or training
c¢iur$o$.
We are grateful for the continued support of the Barton House Medical Centre, Thè Bridpc*rt
Commuiiily Mental Health Team. Beaminster Pharmacy and 'Steps lo Well-being, and NHS provided
Alcohol & Drug Counselling. Assessment & Prevention. Dorset Council, who continue to support the
ciimmup.ity, have been piirticularly helpful providing training in safeguarding, health & safety, and
working with vulnerable adults.
Our thanks to Diocese of balisbury sP8cial$l support and we arg pleased lo host the Curates annual
Viilt lo the community.
Our good relations wrth Dorset Police continue and relationships with all the referral agoncie$
c(Jntinue lo develop well.
IAJe have excellent relatrunships With our neighbours and the wider community in Bridport. Our
eirtendeij community who are often also donors, continue lo encourage us. INe have sent out several
