(1) English Classes (speaking and

(2) Poetry classes – Classes to run for
the community members that can

(3) Computer Classes – Technology is
used very widely in this modern
society, this will help build
confidence for members of the
public who feel deprived of
opportunities and to help keep up to
date with technological advances.|

(External), Women’s Advice
Programmes. These can help
women to build their confidence;
use of external bodies will be used.
Working in partnership with other
organisations that deal with similar
issues.
(5) Workshops (Massage, henna,
cooking, textiles (e.g. sewing
knitting) etc…) – These can be held
for entertainment and social
purposes that will help
disadvantaged members of the
community integrate themselves in
society.
(6) Hair and Beauty – Classes and
sessions held to provide beauty
lessons and treatments for
members of the public.
(7) Trips and lunch clubs for community
members to help them socialise and
integrate themselves with society.
(8) Advice and support groups for
individuals who are experiencing
feelings of distress or despair,
including those that could lead to
suicide.
(9) Awareness events – making the
general public aware about
particular issues experienced by
certain members of the public who
are unable to integrate themselves
with society. Such as, language
barriers, culture, disability etc.
These events will include stalls,
games/activities and other aspects
of entertainment such as dance
etc…

majority of funds raised in the year were via
donations and sponsorship. The
organisation carried out a number of fund-

plan includes carrying out some work to

## **Report of the Trustees**
The Trustees present their report together with the financial statement of the charity for the year ended 31[st] August 2022. The Trustees confirm that the financial statement have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in the accountant’s report and complete with the charity’s trust deed. The Charities Act 2011 and the Charities SORP 2005.

## **Organisational Management**
The Trustees of the charity are legally responsible for the overall management of the United Communities Network. The day to day running of the charity is led by Asiya Younis ratified at properly constituted meetings of a committee of trustees. In case of a dispute at committee meetings the decision will be made by a majority vote. If the number of votes is equal, Asiya Younis has a casting vote.
## **Objects**
To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community with in Nottingham in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society
