These can help<br>women to build their confidence;<br>use of external bodies will be used.<br>Working in partnership with other<br>organisations that deal with similar<br>issues.<br>(5) Workshops (Massage, henna,<br>cooking, textiles (e.g. sewing<br>knitting) etc…) – These can be held<br>for entertainment and social<br>purposes that will help<br>disadvantaged members of the<br>community integrate themselves in<br>society.<br>(6) Hair and Beauty – Classes and<br>sessions held to provide beauty<br>lessons and treatments for<br>members of the public.<br>(7) Trips and lunch clubs for community<br>members to help them socialise and<br>integrate themselves with society.<br>(8) Advice and support groups for<br>individuals who are experiencing<br>feelings of distress or despair,<br>including those that could lead to<br>suicide.<br>(9) Awareness events – making the<br>general public aware about<br>particular issues experienced by<br>certain members of the public who<br>are unable to integrate themselves<br>with society. Such as, language<br>barriers, culture, disability etc.<br>These events will include stalls,<br>games/activities and other aspects<br>of entertainment such as dance<br>etc…<br>(10)<br>Volunteering opportunities to<br>assist members to get back into<br>employment.|

## **Report of the Trustees** 

The Trustees present their report together with the financial statement of the charity for the year ended 31[st] August 2022. The Trustees confirm that the financial statement have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in the accountant’s report and complete with the charity’s trust deed. The Charities Act 2011 and the Charities SORP 2005.

The charity was registered with The Charity Commission number 1153902.

## **Organisational Management** 

The Trustees of the charity are legally responsible for the overall management of the United Communities Network. The day to day running of the charity is led by Asiya Younis ratified at properly constituted meetings of a committee of trustees. In case of a dispute at committee meetings the decision will be made by a majority vote. If the number of votes is equal, Asiya Younis has a casting vote. 

## **Objects** 

To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community with in Nottingham in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society
