Achievements and Performance
Your Space reached its 10-year milestone as a reglstered charity. To ￿lebrate this
achievement we held a celebration evening bringing our families and supporters together
and raise some much-needed funds for the charity.
Your Space continues to work with the Wrexham Autism Stakeholder Partnership working
with council departments and other organisations to ensure the Autism Code of Practice
(September 2022) is implemented. Through this relationship we have been commissioned to
run a steering. Group to ensure the volce of those with lived experience of autism can advise
and shape the way ServI￿S are run.
We now support 6 members of staff who have a dlagnosis of Autism and related conditions.
We provide a supportive and adaptable work environment where people can thrive, leam
their strengths and grow In confidence. One of these staff members, who has lived
experien￿, has been going into schools/colleges/universities, giving talks about his life with
Autism to raise awareness and acceptan￿ for those that are neurodiverse and promote
Your Space to a wider audience.
We continue to work with Wrexham Wellbeing Hub. We have staff working from there I￿1c8
a week giving us a presence that is easily accesslble for those that are unable to travel to
our main base in Llay,
Our Outreach Team and Counselling S8rvice have continued to see a demand for referrals
to this seNice. We have continued to provide parent drop-ins weekly in person and online as
well as structured activities and sessions monthly with guest speakers. Your Space
continues to make strong links with the local community.
As our families navigate the cost of living crisis our monthly pizza partles were a gr8at
opportunity for families to meet up in a supportive and understanding environment, enjoy
some tssty pizza and connect with others.
