These vo￿nteerS remain cyitical to the operat￿n of Slough Foodb￿k. The trustees ¥e gratefvjl for the Contr1t￿l10n made by our volunteers. Throughout the year, volunteers were engaged Ai ￿lIe￿ng focKI donations, warehousing, prepacking food par￿ls, deli￿1ng food parrets, transFKYting fo(xJ parixls to distribution centres, and administering the refeThal system. Slough Foodbank also engaged with kxal ￿SineSseS for teams of corporate Vo￿nteerS to assist regular volunteers with sorting stock and pad(ng food par￿ls. Finan I Inctusion Pro In October 2023, wrth fvnding wovthj by Trussell, SI￿gh Foodbank launched a Fina￿la1 Indusion proje￿ V￿th Citizens Advice East Berkshire (CAEB). The aim of the yojecl is to help clients who have underlying ￿SUeS relatng to benefits. debt, Sow in(*Jme. discximination at work, housing, homelessness or ill health. In the first year of the propct running (Odober 2023 to Seplember 2024) 182 dients V￿re refeffed to CAEB. Between them, these dients had 1,825 issues, demonstrating the complexity of their situai'ons. Over the year there was £116k Klentffied in financial gains for these d￿nts. In addrt￿n, the project has also S￿n￿sted many dients to altematrve sources of help and supwt. Food Donation Levels and Dunng Ihe tWe￿e months Apnl 2024. Slcwh Foodbank received 78 tonnes of food and toiletries donations fr(xn local d)urthes, sCr￿ls. shops, bjsinesses, and private donations, mpared 10 87 tonnes ￿ foc*J and tolletries donatKms during 2023. Stod( at eno 2024 was 27 tonnes compared to ￿Ock at end 2023, 23.5 tonnes, however stctk in August 2024 dropped to 13.5 tonnes.
