(FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

We have referrBd to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's general guidance on
public ber￿fft when reviewing our aims and ¢Jbjectives and in planning our fLrture activities.
The charity's objectives are speclfically rastrictod to tho folbwing: To assist 5ith or disadvantaged
children. young adults and their families with cash, real propety and effects to assist with housing,
education, holldays. medical costs, clothing. sp￿lalIst car8 and nursirvJ.

Goveming docum•nt
The organisation is a Gharitabl8 company Ilmlted by guarantee, incorporated on 10 D8c8mber 2012
and r8gist8r8d as a charity on 12 September 2013. The company was established under a
M8morandurn of Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company
and is govemed under its Artide3 of Assoclation. In the everrt Df the Company being wounrj UP
memb8rs ara required to contribute an amount not exceediro £10.
Recrultrnent and appolntsnent of new trustees
The directors of the company are also charity trustees for Ihe purpose of charity law. At the first
annual general meeting all the directors must retire from office unless by Ihe dose of the meeting
the members have failed to elect sufficiant directors to hold a quordte me81ing of the diroctt)rs. At
each subsequent annual general meeting one-third of the directors or. if their number is not three
or a multiple of three, the numt*r nearesi to or*-third, must retlre fonTt office. If thera Is only on8
director he or she must retire.
Organlsatlonal structure
The Irustees are responsible for the strategic direclion and policy of the charity. A scheme of
delegation is in place and day to day responsibility for th8 provision of the services rest with the
secretary.
Induatlon and tralning of now trusts•8
Most tNstees are already familiar with the practical worf( of the Charity. Additionally, new trustees
are invited to attend a series of training sessions to familiarise th8m$8fves with the charity and the
context withln whlch It operates.

The fir￿nCial statements of lh8 charitable company, whith is a public berpfft entity urKl8r
FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102)
'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statemenl of Recommended Practice applicable to
charities preparing their accounts in accordan￿ with Ihe Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effectlve 1 January 2019),, Financial
Reporting Standard 102 'Th8 Financial Reporting Standartl applicable in the UK and
Republic of IrelarKf arKI the Companies Act 2(￿. Th8 financial ststements have been
prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities On￿ the charity has
entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can
be measured reliably.
EXpondI￿r•
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation
ommitting the charity to that 8XP8nditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits
will be required in sett￿M8rrt and the amounl of the obligation can be measured reliab￿.
Expendrture is accounted for on an accnJal8 basis and has been classified under headings
that aggregate all cost related to thé category. Where costs Gannot be directly attrlbuted to
particular headiws they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use
of resources.
Taxaiion
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accountlng
Unrestricted funds can b8 used In accordance with the chantable objectives at the discr81ion
of tha trustees.
Restrictsd funds can only be used for parti¢xlar restricted purposes within the obkcts of the
charity. Restiictions arlse when specified by donor or when furKls are raised for
particular restricted wrposes.
