During this period the Truslees made four grant awards in May 2023 to
applicants tolalling £12,500 who were able to provide details ol specific
projects and those projects satisfied the Trust's charitable objectives.
The Trustees concenlrated on applicalions that would support specilic
projects where the invilee had an urgent need and where funds had
already been raised or earmarked.

given careful consideration lo the Charity Commission's guidance on

There were fewer applicalions made by charities to be awarded grants
tor specific projects in the autumn. The Trustees, after careful
consideration. reviewed Ihe charities they have previously worked with
who were slill aclively involved with the projects they had recivod funding
for and decided thai they wished to provide them with a notional award
and reminding them out the Chapman Animal Trust ability.
Accumulalively this meant that a further £4,750 was awarded. This was
well received buy the charities.
Additional detalls of objeclives and actlvltles (Optlonal Informatlon)
During the pandemic Ihe Trustees made it more accessible to charities to
make applications regardless of when they had madc a previous
application. This was lo ensure Ihal charilies who provide significant care
to animals in Norfolk and suff ered because ol raising charitable lunds
with the change in how cash is used, slore openings and general events.
The above flexibility continues dependent upon the project that is being
requested. On occasion the Iruslees hold the funds requesled in that
round of award granting and requesi further details of the project before
making the award.
You may choose lo include
further statements, where
relevant, about:
