The Huge Partr•ership Report & Accounts 2025- Overview of the Year About Us The HUGE Partnership, a UK registered tharity (1153640). vrds created in 2013 to promote education in Uganda. It specifically pThides financial and resource support to the Nabu9abo Communty Leaming Centre, a private NGO *t up in 2012 in the district of Ma5aka, SW Uganda, solely to provide free education and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children, who would otherwise not be able to attend school. Now in ts 15 year. NCLC provides umbrella support to the Nabugabo Community Primary School, the Secondary Education Fund and ongoing initiatives in the community relating to education, welfare, recycling. and female empowerment. The governin9 principle of HUGE is to provK4e thildren, most at néèd. with a caring education, a confidence in their ovm abilities and genuine belief and ambition that they can contribute to the future success of their lives and those of the communty. 2025 at a Glance Development of outd¢)or dassroom area fumiture made from recycled plastics manufactured by local company in Masaka - E¢obrixs. Resurfacing of classroom floors to improve learning environments. Significant improvement in digitsl learning resources with each member of the stsff being equipped with a laptop and greater use of projectors in the classroom. Improvement in numerncy programme for Eaty Years with dedicated hands on teaching resou￿5 such as Numicon. Enhanced safeguarding standards by delivering terrnly training and providing staff with access to accredited online safeguarding courses. Broadened health and ￿￿11 being programmes by introducing healthy livtng and leaming sessions at St Kizito Secondary School. Introduced an additional needs programme to provide tsrgeted support for pupils requiring additional help. Developed a comprehensive income and expenditure rnodel, prcNiding the bursar at NCLC and trustees from HUGE, with greater transparency, improved budgeting and more effective financial managément. Construction of a house by students from Pangboume College for a family in need. Targeted healthcare in the community. Raising awareness in respect of recycling and care of the environment. Continued partnership work with Pan9boume College and Sotogrande Intemational School. Introduction of Young Ambassador Programme for those who have worked with the charity in Uganda and are prepared to hjndraise in the UK on behalf of the charity. Our Impact 140 children received free primary education and v￿lIbeing support (food and healthcare) who would otherwise not be able to attend school. 80 students supported through secondary education vh)0 w￿uld <)therwise not attend. 65% of all students Y￿re gids which means they are stsying in education, helping to reduce eaAy marriage and thild labour risks. 8 secondary school students. funded by HUGE. eath achieved 9 0 levels. This was the first cohort to stt O levels. Six students commenced A levels studies enabling St Kizito to reintroduce its A level programme after it had been suspended during COVID. Ongoing provision of safe residential care for those most vulnerable. Greater awareness at both primary and secondary levels of the importance of building healthy relationships and developing personal values. 12 students from Pangboume College visited Nabugabo building cross-cultural understsnding and support. 3 female stsff members funded to complete their professional diplomas ' strengthening local teaching. Provision of menstnjation support and products for all gids. Secondhand uniform and sports kit recycled from the UK and distiibuted to all primary school children at the beginning of the school year. Home clothes and trainers collected in the UK, transported via Pangbourne students and distributed to primary school children mid year. Families and the wider community bènefitted through outreach, housing. and livelihood support. All students at NCLC partake in extracurricular activities including sports, and traditional dnjm and dance. Improved financial oversight and govemance. Ambassador Programme launched with two acceptances. In particular, the School Development Plan ft)r 2026 highlights the folloviing priorilies: Introduce Performan￿ tracking for each class using simple Green, Amber & Red tracking system Improve numeracy programme in Eartyyears. Improve the Cu￿jre of reading, imagination and creative writing espeaally in Early Yeats. Increase training and confidence in the use of laptops and projectors. Improve Additional Needs teaching throughoLrt school. As livelihoods improve and to foster parent resFJonsikxlity trj secondary school, share expenditure, where possible, on school requirements such as exercise books. uniform etc. Interaction with Kampala Pa￿nts Primary School to help improve teather training. Continue to foster our key relationships. Develop new relationships with Ugandans both in the UK and in Uganda, as well as with others who share our commitinent to education. Governance & Accountability The Huge Partnership is run entI￿lY by five unpaid trustees in the UK, with no overthead costs and no expenses Trised by any of the trustees. We comply fully with UK Charity Commission regulations. safeguarding protocols, and financial reporting standards. A full set d policies and Pro￿dureS are available for inspection. Two of the 'twstees, Rithard Batten and Mel Brandon visit termly for a minimum of 12 weeks a , year.
