## **Structure, governance & management**
M2M Projects is a Registered Charity and Charitable Incorporated Organization registered with the Charity Commission on 2nd September 2013.
Our constitution states
- (1) Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.
- (2) In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.
## **Objectives and activities**
The objects of the CIO are;
- 1) To advance the education of medical students in England and Wales by providing free medical elective placements in Mongolia, the provision of education courses and workshops and by such other means as the trustees may determine
- 2) To relieve sickness and to preserve the heath of people living in Mongolia by assisting in the provision of healthcare and by advancing the education of Mongolian Doctors.
Nothing in the constitution shall authorize an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes that are not charitable.

## **Achievements and Performance**
Between 1[st] September 2023 and 31[st] August 2024, our medical students were unable to travel to Mongolia as a result to the pause in the medical education program as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. In previous years, our students have benefitted from the free elective hospital placements to Mongolia, saving them hundreds to thousands of pounds. They have engaged Mongolian doctors from four hospitals, which have all benefited from a free English teaching program. This has allowed them to access English medical resources to help improve their education and the Mongolian healthcare system.
Unfortunately, due to the covid pandemic and the loss of connections from our previous collaborations with other charities/universities we have been unable to re-establish our placements and charitable work.
## **Future plans**
We intend to submit for voluntary dissolution of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation once our 2024 and 2025 accounts have been updated and submitted.
## **Financial Review**
Our charity holds no restricted funds. The costs we must meet include insurance, accounting, legal and materials for workshops. Our policy over this year has been to build an unrestricted reserve to meet an estimate of these essential costs for the next 3 years as our primary income has been based on donations and grants. We are close to achieving this aim. The reserves policy will be reviewed on completion of the accounts to assess whether it has been a success and updated with a view to the 2023-24 financial year.
We have no funds materially in deficit.
