As of its operional capability the team has maintained a ￿11 drone-based search team and also supports a search dog & handler.. these &ssets have at times been deployed outside the Team. nonnal 0￿ratIng ar¢4 in 5UPPgrt of national search and rescue efforts. It is also noteworthy that b¢¢ause of training receiv¢d, sev¢ral ieam mernber5 have been able to a551St with accidents and medical ¢m¢rgen¢i¢s in their day to day lives. In 2023 we regularly discussed the fact that the rate of inflation notably ex¢eed¢d the rates of interest paid on the Team'5 fund5 and it wa5 noted that, as a r¢$ult, the buying pow¢r of th¢ Team's funds was d￿reaSing steadily. Trustees also ctsn5idered other inv¢stmentoption$. and the ne￿ forprofcs5ional advirx ifthese were io be wnsider¢d in more detail. However. given planned fuiure expenditure, and the liquidiiy r¢qllirem¢nts to m¢et thes¢, and mindful of the volatility of investment market4 the Trust¢¢s ele¢ied to retain ￿rtd5 in Cash depx)5its 10 try and avoid addiiional investrnent risk5 in the shorter t¢rm. The Charity's main souree of income is donations. fundraising and grants. The Thstees consider that it is appropriate io prepaT¢ the accounts on a going concern basis and, consequently. the a¢couniS do not include any adjustsllents that would be n¢c¢ssary if th¢5¢ Sources of income should Cease. The trustees aim to ¢stabli5h and maintsin free re5eTV¢S in unre5trictd fU[￿S at a level which ¢quate5 to approximat¢ly 3 month5 of unrestricted charitable expenditUTe, plus additional fiJnd5 for planned eapital expenditure projects in the Shorter terni. To attempt to eollnter these tisks thetrustees hav¢ taken steps to ensure 811 funds on de￿$it 8rc fully covered bythe Financial Services Compensaiion Scheme (FSCSI. and have moved fvtKIs to new account4 wher¢ practical. to obtain higher Ydtes of Ènterest on ream deposits.
