**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN SUBJECTS CONCERNED WITH PROBLEMS OF HUNGER, DISEASE, POVERTY AND IGNORANCE AND THE SOLUTION THEREOF AND WITH THE ECONOMIC AND OTHER PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER COUNTRIES WHICH SUBJECTS ARE HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS &quot;DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION&quot; PROVIDED ALWAYS AND FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT THAT THE PURPOSE OF SUCH OBJECTS IS TO INFORM AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC RATHER THAN TO CAMPAIGN FOR A PARTICULAR POLICY.

Using active learning methods based on enquiry into issues and ideas, DECSY aims to help and inspire people to develop the skills and commitment to work together to bring about a more just and sustainable world.
