Over the fir51 few months of th¢ pand¢mi¢, w¢ b¢came something of a food relief a8cncy, Providing anLYgcncy support io our
partncrschools in Afiica. We achiev¢d thi5 through tar8eled anail campaign& Fouttdutiorj supporters rva]ly re8pond¢d toth¢
call to action.
For many of the childrth we support, thc food they Tettivc at school may be the only t￿￿1 they cat that day. Widespread sch1￿]
and Imjsiness clO¥U￿ ITJ ourhost destinations- de8ign¢d to ¢urb th¢ sprtsd of CoronaviNs- created tnuch food in8wurity atKi

As a Tesult, in April 2020 we launchd our'Fund a Fi)od Parc¢l' (wpaign* which aimed to rnise th¢fvnds to ¢tLabltour
pa￿er s¢hools to contsnue running their f*linB pmgrnmm¢5 for the duration of the sch￿[ ¢losur¢5. B¢tw￿n April and June
2020, African Adventures Foundation raised £10,268 for ourpartna schools. enablinB thon to pr¢)videfood ￿cUrity for familics
in their l(nl communitie8 whth thcy ntcded it most. In Nov¢mhw 2020. wc launchd our Rnnual Christrnas Meal Appeal
fundraisin8 L'ampaign. which raised further funds fvrth¢ %8¢ntial feeding programmcs.
ThrouBh this &llnpaign, the Foundation raised £4.716. Ift ja[￿￿ry 2021, after llinc months of ¢losure$, Sch￿13 in our host
destinations h¢gan to Teopcn. As volunteus were still unable lo travel, our partn¢r schools were in desperate need of additiVll81
t)ding in ordcrto with th¢ costs of reopening. For thi8 re8sott. we IAutt¢hed ￿ additional fundrai81n8 campai8n to SUPPDrt
with these costs, which raised a furthu£2,50Q.
