Trustees Annual Report for the year 1/4/2022-31/03/2023
The Trustees are still in the process of attempting to negotiate to acquire full control of 10 acres of land, CAE CELYN, of National historic and archaeological importance, adjacent to the promontory GARTH CELYN. The Trust owns a one third share of this landholding but are attempting to acquire the other two thirds. Negotiations continue to stall due to lack of response from the other two owners and their advisor.
The Trust have £27,765 held in the Garth Celyn bank account for this purpose. The only money deducted from this account during the year to 31/3/2023 was bank charges. In view of the ongoing situation, including the after effects of the Covid pandemic, the Trust are not attempting to raise additional funds at the present time.
Volunteers (who are unpaid and do not receive expenses) are continuing with the study of the area and the documentary evidence.
