Responslbllities of trustees
As explained more fully in the Stslement of Trustees. Responsibilities Isel out on page 61, the Iruslees
are responslble for the preparation of the financial ststem&nls and for being satisfiad that they give a
true and fair view, and for suGh intemal control as the trustees determine is necessary to enabl8 the
preparation of thnancial statements that are free from material misststemenl, whether due to fraud or
error.
In preparing the financial slalements, the trustees are ￿spOnSible for assessing the charity's a￿.Ity to
continue as a going con¢em, disclosing, as appllcable. matters r8lated to going concern and using the
going concern basis of a¢counting unless the trustees either intend lo liquidate the charity or to cease
operations. or have no realisllc alternative bul lo do so.
Auditor Responsibilities for the auilit of the flnan¢lal statements
Our objectives are lo obtain reasonable assurance about whethei the financial statements as a whole
are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to Issue an auditor's report
that includes our opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance, but is not a guaranlee
that an audit conducled in accordance with ISAS IUKI will always delecl a malerial misslalement
when il exists. Mlsstst&menls can arise from fraud or error and are consiéered material if, individually
or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expecled to influènce the economlc decislons of users

Irregularities, including fraud. are instances of non-complianc8 With laws and regulations. We design

of irregularilies, including fraud. The exlenl lo which our proc8dufes are capable of detecling
irregularities, including fraud is detailed below..
We identified areas of law5 and regulations that could reasonably be expected to have a material
effect on the financial slalemenls frorn our general ¢ommercial and sector experience and through
discussion with the trustees and management. We communicated identified laws and regulations
IhroLJghoul our team, and remained alert lo any indications of rion-compliance IhroughoLJt the audit.
The charlly is subject to laws and regulations that govem th9 preparation of the financial ststements.
including fi'nancial reporting legislation. and othèr charity legislation. The charity is also subject to
other laws and regulations where the Consèquènces of non-complianc8 could have a material impact
on the amounts or disclosuTes wilhln the financlal slalements, Including but not limited lo,
employment, anti-bribery and anti-money laundering.
Owing to the inherent limitstions of an audit, there is an unavoidable risk Ihal we may not have
detected some m8leTial wnisslalemenls in the financial slatemanls, even though we have propedy
planned and performed our audit in accordance with audf(ing standards. In any audit. there remains a
higher risk of non-deteclion of irregularities, as these may involve ¢ollusion, forgery, intentional
omissions, misrepresentations, or the override of internal controls. We are not responsible for
preventing non-¢omplian¢e and cannot be expected to detect non-compliance wlth all laws and
regulations.
As part of an audll In accordance with ISAS IUKI, we exerclse professional judgement and maintain
professional scepticism throughout the audit. W8 also..
Identify and assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statement5, whether due to
fraud or error, design and perfom audit procedu￿$ ￿sponSive to those risks, and obtain audit
eviden￿ that 15 sufficient and appropriate lo provide a basis for our opinion. The risk of T￿t
detecting a material misstatement resulting from fraud is higher than for one resulting from error,
as fraud may invO￿e collusion, forgery, intentional omissions. misrepresenlalioiis, or the override
of intemal control.
Obtain an understanding of intemal conlrgl relevant lo the audit in order lo design audil procedures
that are appropriate in the circumstsnces, bul not for the purpose of expressing an opinlon on the
effectiveness of the charity's internal control.
Evaluate the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of accounting
estimates and related disclosures made by the Iru51ees.
Conclude on the appropriateness of the trustees use of the going concern basis of accounting and,
based on the audil evidence obtained, wheth8r a material Ljncertainty exists related lo events or
ndilions that may cast significant doubl on the chadly's ability lo ¢onlinue as a going concern. If
W8 conclude that a material unc8rtainty exists, we a￿ ￿qUIred lo draw attention in our audllor's
report to the related dis¢losuTes in the financial statements or, If such dlsclosures are inadequate,
lo modify our opinion. Our conclusions are based on the audit evidence obtained up to the dale of
our auditor's report. However. future events or conditions may cause the charity lo cease lo
continue as a going concern.
Evaluate the overall presentstion, strucluie and content of the finandal statements, induding the
disclosures, and whether the financial statements represent the underlying transactions
events in a manner that achieve5 fair presentation.
